An editorial, high-contrast site for a Cashmere hair studio — built so booking an appointment is never more than a tap away.

The brief
Base Hair Studio has been in Cashmere since 2011 and relaunched under new ownership in 2023. The site had to feel as considered as the salon does: services and pricing up front, the team introduced properly, and no clutter in between.
Everything sits on one page — story, services, team, reviews and where to find them — with Book Now pinned in the corner the whole way down.
The design
The palette is a warm near-black with ivory type, which lets the black-and-white photography carry the page. The serif wordmark overlaps the hero image so the name and the picture read as a single mark.
Sections are numbered like a lookbook — 01 Our story, 02 Services — and a wide-tracked mono typeface handles labels, prices and opening hours: quiet enough to stay out of the way, distinct enough to organise the page.

People look for a salon on their phone, so the whole thing was designed to be read with a thumb — one column, generous tap targets, and Book Now always in reach.
